Countdown to 5th Year Anniversary
In less than two weeks we, as a spiritual family, will be coming together to celebrate the milestone of our 5th year anniversary as a house of prayer. Looking back, it is remarkable where we have come from since our humble beginnings in June 2007 when a handful of intercessors began praying in a small room in our house. Looking forward, we couldn’t be more excited to be living in this time in history and to committing afresh and anew to our mandate in this city.
We invite you to register online and join us for our 5th Year Anniversary Celebration and Conference (www.hozdallas.com). We are having this conference as a way of giving thanks and glory to the Lord for all He has done. It’s healthy to look back and remember how faithful He has been. It’s also helpful to be reminded of why we’re doing what we’re doing. Who are we as a house? And what are we called to do in this city? It’s important to understand the vision and recommit, as one body, to pressing into our calling with all our heart, mind, and strength. Only when we understand the vision can we run as one toward the finish line.
So who are we, and what are we called to accomplish?
To create a context to answer these questions there’s no better place to look than at Jesus. The Bible teaches that He came to create a new race of sons through the blood of the New Covenant. The New Covenant shifted the emphasis away from the external temple and essentially made it possible for us, as sons and daughters, to be living temples through the indwelling Spirit. This is the priesthood of the habitation of Christ in us, the hope of glory.
This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the Presence behind the veil, where the forerunner has entered for us, even Jesus, having become High Priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek. Hebrews 6:19-20
Paul boldly states in Hebrews 6:1-2 that we should move past the foundational truths of the gospel to the mystery of the new priesthood, the new man, the sons of God, to the temple and laws that have gone within man. Jesus has made it possible for usto become the very habitation and tabernacle of God. He has always desired a place of continual praise and worship, a place of communion where angels ascend and descend. This is the house of God created in man and covered by the blood of the perfect Priest. Beloved, the internal reality of Christ in you is where the true action is, the explosive life of the Kingdom realm. The external reality of a physical house of prayer simply serves as a place of training where believers can become equipped to know their God and grow strong in intimacy so that they can do great exploits (Daniel 11:32).
God has reestablished the tabernacle of David on the earth (Amos 9:11) in order to bring His Bride into an internal reality of intimacy and oneness in the Spirit. He is looking for sons who perfectly reflect His glory on the earth, the nature of Christ on the inside, and the power and fire on the outside. He is coming for a Bride ready for a wedding. He is training us as His children to learn to hear His voice and to know His ways through embracing the Sermon on the Mount lifestyle (fasting, praying, giving, serving the poor, and acts of justice). The sons and daughters He is raising up in this hour will declare the beauty of Jesus as the passionate Bridegroom, transcendent King, and Righteous Judge, and function as prophetic messengers through power, signs and wonders.
Again, we hope you’ll join us for our 5th Year Anniversary Conference, June 21-24, to hear more about the message of Zerubbabel from our team and special guests Paul Keith Davis and Brad McClendon. A special children’s conference will also be taking place at the same time, so families are welcome! We look forward to seeing you there.
