Our community has a common desire to live lives of encounter. We want our biographies to read like the book of Acts on steroids. The Lord clearly says that he desires to give us the Holy Spirit more than a man desires to feed his own children (Luke 11:13). We have the privilege of the ages, in partnering with a God who delights to give us His kingdom.
In our prophetic ministry, we train believers to receive, interpret and deliver God’s gracious words for others. A man cannot make lightning strike his body. But, he can go to the highest height, raise up a rod, and wait for the storm. There are simple things we can practice that will paint a target on us that the Holy Spirit can’t resist hitting. Salvations through prophetic words are described as a man falling on his face, declaring that God is truly among us (1 Cor 14:24). All it takes is one of those meetings to turn a church upside-down. How about a city?
Our parameters for new covenant prophetic ministry are plainly written in 1 Corinthians 14:3, where it says, “Everyone who prophesies speaks to men for their strengthening, encouragement, and comfort.” Words from our creator are sustenance. If we have food in our house during a famine, then our rooms will be filled with the hungry. We have a clear call and passion to set a banqueting table for our city, where people can feast on the Lord and become new. Come and feast with us!
We offer Prophetic Ministry on Thursday nights after Encounter Service, and Saturdays 10:30am-1:00pm.
Thursday night ministry happens after the service in the back of the room. If you’re interested in Saturday ministry, please sign up in the lobby or email chuck.horning@hozdallas.com.
If you are signed up for prophetic ministry on a Saturday, please follow instructions below:
1. Please sit in the back two rows where the prophetic ministry signs are located.
2. During your session, please avoid divulging any information about yourself other than your name.
3. After your ten minute session, please fill out a comment card and turn it in at the cafe cash register.
